What we solve

Comply on time, and defend yourself when necessary

A requirement from the tax authority comes with short deadlines and expensive consequences. Answering late or answering badly can turn a minor discrepancy into a tax assessment with penalties and surcharges, or into a frozen bank account.

We work on both fronts: prevention, so obligations are met and documentation supports what is filed; and litigation, when there is already an act of authority to challenge.

Scope of service

  • Advice for compliance with tax obligations
  • Advice for tax and social security requirements
  • Litigation to resolve tax related matters

Frequently asked questions

Questions we are often asked

What should I do if the tax authority sends me a requirement?

Respond within the deadline stated in the document itself, with documentation supporting what was filed. Deadlines are short, and missing them turns a minor discrepancy into a tax assessment with penalties and surcharges. Before replying it is worth reviewing exactly what is being requested and what support exists, since an improvised answer can complicate the later defense.

Can a tax assessment be challenged?

Yes. There are remedies available both administratively and before the courts, each with its own deadlines and requirements. The choice of route and the timing matter: letting a deadline lapse can close off the best option and leave only more costly alternatives.

What happens if my digital seals are restricted?

The company can no longer issue invoices, which in practice halts its operations. There is a procedure to clarify the situation and request reinstatement, and it should be started immediately with documentation rebutting the cause. This is one of those matters where speed counts most.

Is tax advice only for when there is a problem?

No — and that is where most of the value lies. Making sure transactions are properly documented and that records support what is filed prevents most contingencies. Once the problem has arrived, the options are fewer and more expensive.
